2. Scan receipts
Another way to earn points is to scan receipts.
Here’s how to earn points for receipts:
- Visit the “magic receipts” section of Swagbucks.
- Add items to your list that you want to earn points for purchasing.
- Purchase the products from the store.
- Upload your receipt to Swagbucks.
- Mark every item you purchased that offered points.
Swagbucks will match your receipt with your purchases and the points will be added to your account.
I prefer to view the items before I shop because more points are sometimes offered for specific brands. For example, if I may plan to buy soda. If Pepsi is offering points in Swagbucks, and Coke isn’t, I will buy the Pepsi instead of Coke.
Word of advice: don’t throw away your receipts!
If you’re throwing away your receipts, you’re potentially throwing away money.
3. Shop Online
Another great way of earning Swagbucks is to earn cash back when shopping online.
When I shop online, I often go to the Swagbucks website, choose “shop,” then search for the store where I plan to shop.
Once I choose the store, Swagbucks will take me to that store’s website to shop as usual. Swagbucks will track my purchase and reward me with the amount of cash back offered for that particular store.
For example, Macy’s may offer 4 points per dollar spent on Swagbucks. If I spent $100, I would earn 400 Swagbucks.
4. Play games
Playing games is a fun way to earn rewards on Swagbucks. They have options to play games on both mobile and desktop.
From experience, a huge amount of points can be earned by playing mobile games.
There are some games that will offer $50 or more for reaching a specific level in the game within a certain number of days.
Swagbucks also has its own games such as the team games. To play, Swagbucks would assign you to a team with other Swagbucks users and the team would collectively earn points. The winning team will split a large pot of points.
Games can be found under the “discover” section of Swagbucks.
5. Swagbucks Offers
Offers are a great way to earn larger amounts of Swagbucks. Offers included:
- Watching videos
- Downloading apps
- Joining memberships
- And more!
