I signed up for Groupon Select and here’s what happened!
While taking my usual scroll through the Groupon website, I came across an offer for a Groupon Select membership. I had never heard of this membership before. And honestly, I am not one that’s big on monthly memberships. But there were a free trial and freebies involved, so I figured I’d give it a try.
What does the Groupon Select membership include?
Included in the membership are the following benefits:
- An extra 25% off Local Deals
- An extra 15% off Goods & free shipping (no minimum or maximum)
- An extra 10% off Getaways
- An extra 10% off Events & Tickets
- 25% off AMC tickets
- Access to exclusive deals
Do members get any bonuses?
When I signed up for the membership, I got lots of freebies. My freebies included, a $5 Starbucks gift card (emailed after 30 days), my first month of membership free, and $30 in Groupon bucks (loaded after 30 days). These bonuses can change, but they are constantly offering bonuses when you sign up for the membership.
How much does Groupon Select cost?
The membership costs only $4.99/month. This easily pays for itself in the first month. An order of $20 would easily get you $5 off of a Local Deal. So if you are someone that uses Groupon on a semi-regular basis, this membership can save you lots of money. Especially when you consider that the deal you’re purchasing is already discounted from retail price. And when you factor in the bonus freebies you get for signing up, it’s a no-brainer to get this membership…especially if the first month is free.
What if I want to cancel my membership?
My membership required no long-term obligation. To cancel, you can go into your account and easily cancel. Just cancel at least 3 business days before the membership renews.
Is Groupon Select worth it?
Absolutely! I shop on this deal site at least once a month. When I shop there, I usually spend over $20 a month. Plus, I got a bunch of freebies in the process. I tried it, and I love it!

How do I contact Groupon customer service?
Groupon wants customers to reach them online. They can be contacted by:
- In the app (go to: my stuff – contact customer support)
- website, Groupon.com/customer_support
These options will allow you to access frequently asked questions, live chat with a representative, send an e-mail, or request a call back.
There is no Groupon Select customer service number with a live person. The customer service phone number, 1-877-788-7858, contains a message asking customers to contact them online.
