Check out my DIY photo booth!
Have you tried to find a photobooth for an event and been turned off by the price? Well, that’s what happened to me. I refuse to pay $500/hour to rent a photo booth. And most of the photobooths offered weren’t even booths! They were backdrops.
I have a degree in theater and have been on the production team for shows in college. So, I decided to tap into my creative side and make my own photo booth. At first, I tried to search online for a DIY photo booth. I didn’t see anything that matched what was in my head. I wanted one with curtains, a functioning camera, and printing capabilities. That was a no-go. So I was on my own.
I’m going to share with you how I went about making mine. You’ll need:
MATERIALS:
3/4″ PVC pipes and connections
Metallic Silver Foil Fringe Curtain (AMAZON $4.97)
Paris Backdrop (AMAZON reg. $14.99, sale $5.99)
Wonder clips (AMAZON reg. $24.95, sale $10.96)
Eclipse curtains (I bought 5) (KOHL’S)
OPTIONAL:
Cricut Maker (for making your own prints and designs)
Rustoleum High Performance Spray Paint (AMAZON $3.50)
I’m horrible at drawing, so I put together this YouTube video on how to build a DIY photo booth.
