I’ve got $50 in Mastercard gift cards for doing less than 1 hour of work! How? By writing Capterra reviews. I briefly mentioned Capterra in my post, How To Get Free Gift Cards. But, today I will give you more in-depth information of how the Capterra review program works.
If you’re not familiar with Capterra, no worries. I will break it down and tell you about this website. Plus, I’ll give you my secrets of how I earn $50 an hour doing quick reviews.
WHAT IS CAPTERRA?
Capterra is a review website for computer software. So when people use platforms such as PayPal and Microsoft Word, they can submit a review and get a Capterra gift card.
If your review is approved, you will be given the link to redeem your gift card(s).
They have hundreds of software programs that can be reviewed. So the earning capacity is huge!
WHEN WOULD I GET MY CAPTERRA GIFT CARD?
If your review is approved, you will receive an email within three weeks stating that you earned a gift card. The email will include a link so you can choose your preferred gift card. You will have your choice of several gift cards including:
- Mastercard
- Amazon
- Target
- And more!
WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THE CAPTERRA GIFT CARDS?
Gift cards are usually $5. They sometimes have special offers to get gift cards for $10 or $15, as well.
For example, if you have used the program Squirrly SEO, they have been giving $15 gift cards for a review of that program. This is subject to change, but use this link if you have used Squirrly SEO for your chance to earn more!
If you have done more than one Capterra review in a day, they will usually send the gift cards in a single link. You can choose to have all the money on one card, or split it between different cards.
HOW MANY CAPTERRA GIFT CARDS CAN I GET?
You can get a maximum of 10 gift cards per month. So, if you do 10 Capterra reviews for $5, you can get $50 worth of free gift cards!
HOW LONG ARE THE CAPTERRA REVIEWS?
Capterra reviews are quite short. I can knock out a review in 5 minutes. So, I make at least $50/hour doing Capterra reviews.
DO YOU HAVE TO BE A BUSINESS OWNER TO SUBMIT A CAPTERRA REVIEW?
No. Many people have assumed that since some of the questions ask about your organization or the number of employees, that you have to be a business owner. That is not true.
When answering questions, you only have to complete required fields. It is beneficial if you can answer as much as possible. But, if a question doesn’t pertain to you, skip it.
TIPS FOR GETTING YOUR REVIEW APPROVED…
I must reiterate. YOUR CAPTERRA REVIEW MUST BE APPROVED IN ORDER TO GET CAPTERRA GIFT CARDS. I have never had a review that was rejected. So, use these tips to raise your chances of approval:
1. Use proper grammar, and use spell check. I use the free program, Grammarly. It’s more than worth it to sign up.
2. Fill out as much information as possible. Complete all fields that pertain to you. If you are a business owner, even though those fields are not required, fill in the business owner questions.
3. Be descriptive. When answering questions, writing one sentence doesn’t give potential users enough information. They are trying to get the word out about companies. If your review is not helpful to others, why would they want to pay you?
4. Review programs that you have really used. This goes without saying. Don’t lie. They can see right through that. There are so many programs available to be reviewed, you are sure to find something that you have used. Seriously, they even have Gmail listed. You do have options.
5. Use auto-fill for the basic information. If you are doing several reviews, it is a waste of time to have to type out your name and email address 10 times. You can make more money in less time when you auto-fill that info.
I hope this helps you make lots of money. I was able to earn a couple of hundred dollars for my Capterra reviews this year.
