As an affiliate marketer, you would be provided with an affiliate link to help ensure you’re credited with a commission for referring customers. This is a custom web link that takes the customer to the company’s website. The link has a tracking code within it that lets the company know that you are the person that referred the customer.

Affiliate marketing programs provide affiliate links for you to post. Companies may have their own programs, but often they are a part of a larger program such as Brandcycle which provides links to hundreds of companies. Brandcycle is like a one-stop-shop instead of having to join the affiliate marketing programs separately.

To earn the most money with affiliate marketing, you’ll need a strategy. Here are 5 tips to get your affiliate links in front of more people:
Tip 1: Social Media
You don’t have to be a popular influencer to leverage the power of your followers. Using social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok are great ways to earn big with affiliate marketing.
Add a link in your bio and suggest products and services to your followers, even if it’s just your friends and family. We tend to surround ourselves with people of similar mindsets. If you like the product, your followers will often like it too. Great minds think alike, right?
Affiliate links can live on your social media page and become a steady income stream. Creating blog posts that include product reviews, how-to guides, or educational content, can turn your readers into buyers. People often rely on bloggers to give them suggestions for products to buy. Use that.

The best part about blogging is that you can own your own platform. No worrying about getting kicked off of YouTube, or having your Instagram account shut down for “violations.”
One too many times, I have had platforms flag and remove my content for “violations” that never happened. Like the time TikTok flagged one of my videos for nudity for wearing a neutral-colored shirt that was close to my skin tone.
Other times, I had to petition YouTube to have a human review my video and repost it. Sometimes the algorithm would repeatedly flag the same video after it was manually approved. Even though my videos were put back up, I still lost revenue from the times they were taken down and lost traction.
The lesson: It’s a smart strategy to own a blog, so even if you lose access to social media, your affiliate links and content can live forever on your website.
Tip 4: Podcasting
If you love to talk, you can use the power of your voice to make money with your own podcast. Podcasting provides an incredible opportunity to generate revenue through strategic affiliate partnerships.
Suggest products and services within your podcast episodes and add affiliate links to the show notes. As your listeners grow, your income can too!
